My eldest grand daughter, my dog and myself.  Going to a quilt show.

Fred and I will be traveling a lot this summer and fall.  Both of us were raised on car trips, and this year is an adventure.
We are going north to New Hampshire, west to Knoxville, TN and not far from home to South Carolina. In between we will be visiting Cincinnati, Oh and Philadelphia, PA   We look forward to seeing you at the various quilt shows, large and small.  We always enjoy talking with our customers.  Every quilt show gets the creative juices flowing.  I always come home tired and ready to quilt.

Fred and Judy

This lap quilt is a great example of an easy embellishment.  If you can color, you can do this.  The center piece of the block is a black and white print.  Using Fabrico Markers I colored inside the lines of the various flowers and leaves.  Then I just bordered the block and added black sashing to set it all off.

A couple of hints:  You must wash the fabric before you add color.  Fabric has a lot of chemicals that will impede the color of the Fabrico Markers.

Heat set after every color addition.  Then the colors will not run together, when washed again.  To heat set, I use an iron on the cotton setting.
